Swept Away
"Swept Away" invites you into a subtle moment caught between presence and motion. The horse, caught in a backward glance, holds a quiet tension—the wind teasing its mane and tail, strands of hay slipping free as if carried by an unseen current. Working with Chinese ink and acrylic, I sought to capture the delicate interplay between stillness and the gentle pull of life stirring around it. There’s a soft mystery in the gaze, as if something just beyond reach calls out, drawing both horse and viewer into a shared space of quiet reflection and elusive movement.
Original Painting. Painting is Acrylic and Chinese Ink on Watercolor paper that is mounted onto hardboard and varnished with a UV Protectant varnish. The frame for this painting is handmade by the artist and is built out of an old wooden fence rail from Vaughn, Montana. Painting dimensions: 16 x 33". Framed painting dimensions: 20” x 41”
